Delete my number, please

Nothing is worse than unknowingly deleting an important formula in your spreadsheet and realizing it when it’s too late for CTRL+Z to save you. To prevent such future catastrophes, get to know the Go To dialog box, which makes it possible to delete all numeric values in the worksheet at once without deleting text or formulas.

To do this, first use the Go To dialog box to select all numeric values. Open the Go To dialog box by pressing CTRL+G or go to Home > Find & Select > and select Go To, and then select the Special button. This opens the Go To Special dialog box, which allows you to quickly select cells that meet the set criteria. To select numeric values only, select Constants, uncheck all the boxes except Numbers, and hit OK. Now you can simply hit the Delete key.

All your numeric values should be gone, and you’ll have the security of knowing that you won’t accidentally delete important formulas without realizing it ever again.
