Do the Splits 🤸

Ever wish you could be in two places in once?  How about four?  There is one handy little Excel shortcut that can make this happen for us!

Check out our example gif above.  Our insurance sales data contains a ton of rows and columns that don’t fit into our window, making it difficult to view the data at the bottom and to the far right of our table.  Not ideal 😠.  We don’t want to have to scroll back and forth or hide rows manually just to be able to see our data.  This is where our shortcut comes in!  We can be in four places at once in our table simply by selecting where we’d like to split our worksheet and pressing Alt W S - this instantly creates four panes that we can scroll around in individually!

The Alt W S shortcut activates that Split Tool, which is what actually allows us to access those different views.  If you’re using a MacBook or prefer using your mouse (said no one), just head to the View tab and select the split tool in the window group to achieve the same results.
