How to replace errors

When working with averages, or any formulas in general, it’s possible for the formulas to return an error. Instead of replacing the errors individually to clean up the table, you can replace them all at once using Go To Special.

First, select all the errors within the data table. To do this, press CTRL+G and select the Special button. Then select “Formulas,” uncheck all of the options besides “Errors,” and hit OK. Now that all the formulas within the data table are selected, enter zero and hit CTRL+Enter.

And that’s a wrap on our Go To Special’s Hidden Treasure series! Go To Special is one of my favorite, if not my most favorite, Excel tools that can increase productivity.
