ORG CHART ART

Need to introduce the new employee to the team?  Easy!  Let’s create an eye-popping org chart to show them who’s who.

Before we craft our chart, we want to make sure that our employees are listed in a column by department and in hierarchy order so we can easily paste them into our chart in the proper location.  Once we’ve got that sorted, we’ll copy the employee list, navigate to the “Insert” tab, and select “SmartArt” under the Illustrations group.  When the dialogue box opens, we’ll select “Hierarchy” from the list on the left and select the graphic we’d like to use to create our chart.

To enter our employees into the chart, we’ll paste the values we previously copied into the SmartArt window.  Finally, we’ll make sure the chart is organized in hierarchy order by selecting subordinates in the SmartArt window and hitting tab to move them to a lower level in our chart.  For example, if Dua Lupa is our CEO, we’ll want to select every other celeb and press Tab to move them to a lower position than Dua 👑.  We’ll repeat this until each employee is in their appropriate branch on the appropriate level, and we’re done!
