Spring Clean your Worksheet

There is nothing worse than needing to scroll through a worksheet to find data that’s overflowed from the spreadsheet window 🫠.

Check out the example gif above - we have a PTO calendar that tells us when our employees will be taking off work, but there is so much unnecessary space in our table because the header row text is much wider than the “X” that marks our cells.  Let’s clean this baby up so we can see all of our data at a glance!

Rotating our header text is such an easy solution to add more space.  All we need to do is select our headers, open the text orientation drop down, and select “Angle Counterclockwise” to rotate the headers.  Once they’re turned upward, we need to remove the extra space leftover by auto fitting our data.  Do this by selecting the button in the top left corner of the worksheet and double clicking the line between any of the headers.

That’s it!  Isn’t this a more relaxing way to see our data?  Now our space is maximized, our worksheet is clean, and we more easily plan which day we should take off next 😎.
